Description
Clarinda, Mistress of my soul by Robert Burns (facsimile), 24 January 1788, 4 four-line verses, Begins "Clarinda, Mistress of my soul". Framed.
Robert’s description of Clarinda as ‘the fair Sun of all her sex’ was as much a compliment to her as a description of the fact that her married status and high social standing placed her out of his reach.
