Description
Framed copy of 'The Illustrated London News', dated 17 August 1844. These newspaper cuttings record the drama of the 1844 Burns Festival in Alloway. The long, theatrical procession, attended by 100,000 participants, moved through a series of huge floral arches from Ayr to Burns Monument via the old Brig o’ Doon. Framed. pp 104, 108.
