Description
Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect, Kilmarnock 1786. Referred to as the Kilmarnock Edition.
In 1786 the first edition of Burns' works were printed in Kilmarnock by John Wilson, costing three shillings each. 350 copies of the book were subscribed to in advance and 612 copies were finally printed. Today very few copies are in existence.
