Description

A black and white print depicting the Burns Monument, as seen from the opposite side of the River Doon.

The print is accompanied underneath by 'Burns Monument, on the banks of the Doon / 6th Agugust 1844 /This Sketch taken from the South side of the River in memory of the Poet includes Alloway Kirk, the old and new Bridges, the Monument, Burns Cottage, the Pavillion and Procession'.

It is signed N.H.M and the mount is inscribed 'Presented by Rev. Alex. Copland, Ardrossan'. In giltwood frame.
