Wooden Mauchline ware bowl with Burns Cottage design in base, W & A Smith, Mauchline, late 19th-century. Depicts the cottage as an ale-house before restoration. Stamp stating 'bought at the Cottage'.
This is an early souvenir from Alloway. A stamp stating ‘bought at the Cottage’ will have added to its value amongst Victorian collectors.
