Description
A wooden mazer that belonged to Robert Burns. With detachable lid, globular bowl, on turned stem and circular base.
The bowl is decorated all around on the outside with flowers and foliage engraved by means of lines and dots, and has the the initials R B and the date 1790. With paper label underneath base inscribed 'The Hanover Exhibition Reg No. 235.2' stamped on base. Inside the lid is Robert Burns's signature.
