Wood cut from Robert Burns's trysting thorn.
This is a piece of the hawthorn bush reportedly cut from the trysting (meeting) place of Robert Burns and one of his sweethearts, near Mill, Mannock. Near Coylton.
"At length I reached the bonnie glen,
Where early life I sported;
I passed the Mill and trysting-thorn
Where Nancy aft I courted."
