Engraving of Mrs Dunlop of Dunlop By Henry Robinson, c.1846. In thick oak frame, background tinted with gold paint.
After reading an edition of Robert’s poems, Frances Anna Wallace Dunlop contacted him to ask if she could be a sounding board for his work. Despite the fact she was 29 years his senior, they remained friends until Robert's death.
