Description

Pencil or pastel on paper drawing of George Thomson in a gold painted frame.

This is the man who published Auld Lang Syne with the tune that we most frequently use today. Burns was not happy with his original tune and, three years after the poet’s death, Thomson published the song using an alternative melody.
