Blue, woollen, Tam o' Shanter style bonnet with hand embroidered thistle in green and red to front of bonnet.
The popular image of Tam (in Tam o’ Shanter) riding home in his ‘guid blue bonnet’ led to these woollen hats becoming known as ‘tammies’ in the 19th century.
