This engraving by William Giller based on a painting by Charles Hancock in 1853, shows Robert Burns standing beside a plough with two horses having a break. The quotation "and stood with his hand on the plough and his heart with the Muse" is appended.

This stylized engraving shows the poet in an unlikely clothing for the agricultural task of managing a plough on an Ayrshire farm.
