Description
Oil on canvas painting of Robert Burns standing in a forest scene on the banks of the river Doon with the Brig o'Doon to left of centre. In a giltwood frame. By unknown artist after Alexander Nasmyth.
The original painting was made about 1827-8 from a pencil sketch (1787) by Nasmyth, and is now in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.
