An Ivorex plaque carved in low-relief, depicting Agnes Burnes in the Burns Cottage kitchen holding a newborn Robert Burns.
Inscribed underneath 'Burns' Birth Scene Que'she 'Wha lives will see the proof, This waly boy will be nae coof: I think we'll ca' him Robin'. It was probably painted in the past, but it is now discoloured.
