Description
Carpet featuring a portrait of Robert Burns in the centre, within oval roundelle, and four Scenes of Burns Country: the Burns Cottage, the Burns Monument, the Auld Kirk of Alloway and the Tam o'Shanter Inn. Made by Stoddard of Kilmarnock in the 1960s.
The design was made by George Scott, the Head Designer at Gray’s Carpet Works of Ayr and the original pattern is kept in the Stoddard archive at the University of Glasgow
