Description
Staffordshire flat back figures of Tam o’ Shanter and Souter Johnnie.
Solid ceramic figures glazed in colour of two seated men, each with drinking vessel in right hand. Figure on the left has a vest and large hat. Figure on the right has a spotted scarf and a smaller hat. A barrel is between them.
Embossed at the bottom, front 'Tam O' Shanter & Sooter Johnnie'; the gold lettering on this is almost completely worn off. Single pierced hole on the back. Very worn inscription on base, which states year 1892.
