Manuscript of Extemporre Epistle to Mr. McAdam of Craigengillan, written in Nance Tinnock's, Mauchline in answer. Title continues to an obliging letter he sent in the commencement of my poetic career.

McAdam was a leading agricultural improver of the day. Begins Sir, o'er a gill I gat your card. Followed by a poem in 7 four-line verses.

The Annotation reads "Sundry poems, chiefly printed. Written at Edr. 1787" and a pencil note "Compared with Pickering edition - 1830. Several differences."
