Isabella Burns was the youngest sister of Robert Burns. She was born at Mount Oliphant Farm on 27 June 1771. She later married John Begg and moved to East Lothian, living near her brother Gilbert. After her husband's death in 1813, she moved to Bridge House, Alloway, where she met with many Burns enthusiasts to discuss her famous brother.
