Letter from Thomas Carlyle to Isabella Burns Begg, dated Chelsea, 7 June 1842.
Isabella Burns-Begg was the Poet's sister. This letter intimates that the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Peel, has agreed to bestow upon her a small pension of twenty pounds a year, with reversion of Ten Pounds each to of her daughters, should they survive.
