Description
Metal stamp affixed to layers of light and dark wood. In rectangular cardboard box lined with fabric.
Stamp created by Wendy Wood (co-founder of the SNP) to agitate for a Burns Stamp for the 1964 anniversary.
Depicts Burns head with his name, birth and death years and 'Scotland' written along the bottom.
The lid of the box has the following handwritten 'The Patriot Burns Stamp, to Mr. Peebles with respect and appreciation. Wendy Wood, Compton Mackenzie, Harald R. Leslie'.
