Small island, which supports a crofting community, features white sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and rocky outcrops. Variety of buildings on the island, including 3 churches that stand out dramatically in the landscape, and Canna House, a square villa built in 1865 with eclectic interiors. The house contains an unparalleled archive of documents and photographs documenting ancient culture, folklore and the Gaelic language.

No mobile signal on the island. Access is very weather dependent, with many crossings cancelled in the winter. Ferry journey takes 3–4 hours from Mallaig.
