A wooden framed letter with photograph. The photograph is of the Russian ship Olga Ulyanova. This was given along with a portrait drawn by sailors of the St Petersburg-registered Olga Ulyanova. It was presented to the museum as a mark of their esteem for Robert Burns and as a sign that, even during the Cold War, the spirit of Burns could help to foster friendship between Scottish and Russian people.
