Painting depicting Alloway Kirk as seen from the east with Burns Cottage in the background. Oil on canvas. In giltwood frame.
This painting titled "Alloway Kirk from the East" was completed in 1816 by John Fleming (1792-1845). The Kirk which had ceased to be used for worship some hundred years before is shown with the graveyard and the birthplace Cottage of Robert Burns can be seen in the distance.
