Agenda

  1. Welcome and Introductions
  2. Minutes
    To approve the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Friday 20 September 2024.
  3. Election of the President
    Jackie Bird MBE will be proposed for re-election as President.
  4. 94th Annual Review and Accounts
    To consider the adoption of the 94th Annual Accounts.
  5. Election of Auditors
    The Board of Trustees will propose that AAB Audit Limited of 81 George Street, Edinburgh be re-appointed as the Trust’s auditors.
  6. Q&A
    Members will have the opportunity to participate in a question & answer session.
  7. Election of the Vice-Presidents
    David Mitchell will be proposed for election as Vice-President, and the following candidates will be proposed for re-election as Vice-Presidents:
    Caroline Borwick
    Professor Hugh Cheape MBE
    Professor Michael Scott-Morton
    Caroline Carnegie, Duchess of Fife
  8. Ordinary Membership Subscription
    It will be proposed, with effect from 1 January 2026, the amount of the annual subscription required for qualification as an Ordinary Member of the National Trust for Scotland, currently £74.40, shall be raised to £79.20.
  9. Trustee Election
    The announcement of the results of the ballot for the election for a member to the Board of Trustees.
  10. Presentation
    Clea Warner, Regional Director for the Highlands & Islands, will deliver a presentation on the reopening of Canna House. Members will also hear some original music inspired by the collection at Canna House, performed by Dr Pàdruig Moiresdan.
  11. Annual General Meeting 2026
    Announcement of the date of the 2026 AGM.

Various supporting papers may be tabled at the meeting. The Annual Accounts and draft Minute of the last meeting will also be made available on the day of the meeting.
