Drum Castle, Garden & Estate

Medieval history, Jacobean romance and Victorian opulence
A view of Drum Castle on a sunny day, with bright blue sky behind. The ancient, square stone tower is to the left, with the Jacobean section to the right. Tall trees can be seen behind the castle.

Dating from the 13th century, the castle was owned by the Irvine family for over 650 years. A Scottish stronghold and hunting lodge, Drum is now a spectacular venue for weddings, private parties and corporate entertaining.

One of the recent innovations at Drum has been the creation of an exhibition space, designed to showcase contemporary art within a traditional setting.

The castle’s gardens and extensive grounds provide a stunning backdrop for photography, marquees and outdoor activities.
