Tucked away in the Stables Courtyard, our book shop gives pre-loved books a new chapter of life and supports the timeless tradition of storytelling as well as our commitment to sustainable practices.
Supported by the generosity of our local community and run by our fantastic group of volunteers, our book shop truly is a space for all. The stock is regularly refreshed and is thoughtfully curated into fiction, non-fiction and children’s sections.
You can also catch a glimpse of the inside of Newhailes House while our Story of Newhailes House film plays, making the house accessible to anyone who may not be able to visit in person.
All proceeds from the sale of books helps our charity and the conservation of Newhailes.
Newhailes Book Shop is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
