Dating all the way back to the 1200s, the land around Pollok House has been in the Maxwell family for more than 27 generations. Originally rural farmland and woodland, Pollok Park today is much smaller than the family estate which once existed.
Now used as a community hub for a variety of social and sporting groups, this green space is ideal for a peaceful country walk in the heart of Glasgow. Alternatively, stick closer to the house and explore what remains of the formal landscape designed by Sir John Stirling-Maxwell.
