Planning your visit
There is no need to book in advance to visit us – we look forward to welcoming you soon to Weaver’s Cottage.
For information about planning your visit, please see the drop-down facilities below or our frequently asked questions.
Facilities & access
- Access to and around the cottage is difficult, with two steps into the cottage, uneven floors, winding stairs and low ceilings.
- There’s an uneven, sloping garden with narrow gravel paths.
We have an ongoing programme of accessible content development. Detailed accessibility guides for the most visited Trust places are available on our Accessibility pages as well as links to useful resources.
We’d love you to visit the Euan’s Guide website to review the accessibility of Trust places and tell us (and others) what’s good and where we need to do better.
Dogs on a lead are welcome in the garden.
Parking is available on the street beside the cottage, and a free public car park is situated 100m from the cottage.
Our shop is one of the few places in Scotland which sells items completely handwoven on a traditional handloom. Cushions, honey, preserves and other cottage-related products are also available.
A subtitled audiovisual programme is available.
