Creative writing and performance workshops at Newhailes
Join us at Newhailes House & Gardens for an exciting new course, which will explore the history of the property through a series of creative workshops. The workshops will feature acting, poetry and live performance skills and are led by an amazing line-up of facilitators including:
- Lisa Williams (writer and founder of the Edinburgh Caribbean Association)
- Gerald Richards (founding CEO of the Super Power Agency)
- Jeda Pearl (writer, poet and artist)
- Joe Williams (founder and director of Heritage Corner)
- Zaki El-Salahi (lyricist, performance poet and community educator)
- Alex Renton (writer and journalist)
- May Sumbwanyambe (librettist, radio dramatist, academic and award-winning playwright)
The workshops will run on Friday afternoons between 19 August and 30 September, with a dress rehearsal and final performance on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October.
