Get your dancing shoes on for the return of Festhailes, the family-friendly music festival taking place at Newhailes on Saturday 13 May.

A Scottish line-up of talented performers will entertain the crowds on the historic estate in Musselburgh, East Lothian, alongside a whole variety of fun activities including fair rides, face painting and street food vendors.

The acts will take to the stage in front of Newhailes House from 2pm. This year they include Daniel Meade and The Basement Boogie Men, Brownbear, The Shiverin’ Sheiks, Papa Shandy & the Drams, Have Mercy Las Vegas, Einstein’s Wardrobe and The Smoking Jeffreys.

The annual event has become a key date in the calendar for Newhailes and is set to welcome visitors from near and far. Large numbers are expected to attend this year following a sold-out event in 2022. We encourage you to get your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tickets cost £17 for an adult and £10 for a child aged 3–16; under-2s go free.

Claire Grant, the National Trust for Scotland’s Operations Manager (Edinburgh & East) said: ‘We’re excited to welcome visitors from across East Lothian and further afield to our Festhailes event, which promises to be a fun-filled day for all the family – there’s something on offer for everyone to enjoy. Alongside the musical acts we will have a variety of different street food vendors offering cuisine from around the world to delight the taste buds. Our Stables Café will be open late for visitors to enjoy refreshments, and there will also be a wine and prosecco bar and beer on offer. Children can enjoy exploring Weehailes Adventure Playpark which will be open until late, with fair rides and face painting to keep them entertained throughout the day.’
