Ranger-guided mountain walks

A clear reflection in Loch Duich beneath the iconic Five Sisters mountains of Kintail
Torridon, Ben Lomond, Glencoe, Goatfell, Ben Lawers, Kintail and Affric, the Moffat Hills, the Cairngorms – all famous Scottish upland landscapes, but it’s not so widely known that the National Trust for Scotland cares for large parts of them.

Trust rangers and other staff based at these places arrange guided walks and events to help you explore, learn about and enjoy these wild areas.

We offer guided walks over most of the Munros (hills 3,000ft high and over) and Corbetts (hills 2,500–3,000ft high) in our care. There are also ranger-led events where you can learn about the wildlife in these places, or new skills such as mountain navigation, nature photography and wild camping.

Three Trust peaks have also taken part in the Torchlight Challenge – Ben Lomond, Ben Lawers and Goat Fell. This is an opportunity to experience the mountains at dusk and raise essential funds for the National Trust for Scotland and local mountain rescue teams.

Rangers at the following places offer guided mountain walks and events:
