Secret gardens hidden behind stone walls, sweeping staircases, colourful flower beds and magnificent trees – our gardens offer the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings.

From ceremonies and drinks receptions to marquee and tipi receptions, we’ve got it covered. All you need to do is find the perfect spot!

What’s more, by choosing a Trust venue for your wedding you’ll be supporting our vital conservation work to help us protect Scotland’s heritage for current and future generations to enjoy.

Here are a few of our favourite garden venues:

Threave Garden & Estate, Castle Douglas

Threave is a large and colourful garden, divided into a series of ‘garden rooms’. Each has their own style and design, including a rose garden, walled garden and rockery. Throughout spring, the lawns are carpeted with over 200 varieties of daffodil, and by summer the flowering shrubs are in full bloom, both offering a picturesque setting for your outdoor wedding.

Located in the bustling Southside of Glasgow, Greenbank Garden is a secret oasis of colour and tranquillity, surrounded by tall swaying beeches and wildflower meadows. Manicured lawns, sundials, sculptures and fountains create a romantic setting for outdoor weddings. Or why not create a ‘festival feel’ with tipis and food trucks, and host a wedding your guests won’t forget!
