Funding raised by People’s Postcode Lottery has enabled the National Trust for Scotland to complete the Wild Woodland play area, plus two all-ability trails.

Thanks to the support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery, the National Trust for Scotland has welcomed more visitors to Culzean Castle & Country Park.

Funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery in 2017, awarded through the Postcode Earth Trust, enabled our charity to complete the Wild Woodland play area for children aged 5 and above, plus two new all-ability trails which now offer full access to areas of the country park that were difficult to access before.

Quote
“Normally we would assume that paths like these would be inaccessible, so to have trails here at Culzean that are fully accessible is great to see and I’m sure will encourage lots of disabled people to visit.”

Paralympic athlete from Ayrshire

The Swan Trail takes in the beautiful Swan Pond, and the Lion Trail includes some of the park’s highlights including the castle, Fountain Court, the coastal path and the walled garden. We are so grateful to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their continued support in helping everybody experience and enjoy Scotland’s amazing heritage.
