The genius is in the detail

What impresses most people about Mackintosh and his wife Margaret’s work at Hill House was their ability to think of every last detail to create stunning visual effects.

    Stylised flowers can be seen in the fireplace mosaic of the Drawing Room.

    The Drawing Room is decorated with a trellis of roses, with petals falling in the breeze.

    Upstairs in the main bedroom, you can spot a tile featuring the famous Glasgow rose.
